Subject Leader
Mr Brown has been a Mathematics teacher since 2001, and he has loved EVERY minute of it. He wanted to be a teacher since the tender age of 13, four main reasons really; His Mathematics teacher (Mr Foster – tough looking guy, often with a skin head who played rugby and used to come into school with cuts and black eyes, SCAREY guy who made Maths fun but also normal), His Science teacher (will remain nameless fro all the wrong reasons), His mother (love you mom) and a man called Mr Breimah.
Teaching is a truly fantastic job as it is the only job where you really do “Work with tomorrow, today” That’s my quote so remember that. Teaching and education are not just about formal qualifications (which are extremely important might I add), but about building and creating character within each and every one of us as learners.
Mathematics is an important subject that not only you should try your hardest to achieve in, but also enjoy. With a Mathematics qualification whether that be a grade G or A* it will show prospective colleges or employers that you have numerical skills.
As a wise old man once said to me “Education is a key that opens many doors. Have the key of a positive character as well and you can open any door you want”. Enjoy Achieving!

Mr Mirza went to school in Kingsbury, London, near Wembley. He was born in Newcastle. At the age of 16 he was a tennis coach in Neasden, London, playing in some regional competitions. He’s also been a club golfer for over ten years, never playing above 11.4. He also studied Shotokan Karate and Wing Chun Kung Fu.
He completed his first degree at The University of Portsmouth, studying Psychology and Statistics. His second degree was maths and teaching based, he started teaching and have never looked back.
He has had the chance to work in a few different schools but he find that Stretford is the one with the best atmosphere. The staff are extremely supportive the pupils want to do well.
He cycles lots and in 2009 I sold my car, after twenty years of driving, and in 2010 he cycled to London, this summer he’s planning on cycling a lot of miles around the Grand Canyon, Arizona, there’ll be snakes and big spiders out there, I’m a little scared he say’s.
He is a big games player, he currently has a DS and a 360. My favourite games are Vib Ribbon, Final Fantasy 7, Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid, all on the PS one. Currently his favourite games are Eternal Sonata, Gears of War and Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom.
