Subject Leader

Mr Stucke MEng Aerospace Engineering, Manchester University

Mr Daniel Stucke is subject leader for ICT.  A self-confessed geek he is the ideal person to lead our innovative ICT Curriculum.  Mr Stucke is also Acting Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for E-Learning across the school along with all logistics for learning.  Mr Stucke studied Aerospace Engineering at Manchester University, before beginning a career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, it took him a couple of years to realise that his calling in life was teaching, and he hasn’t looked back during his 7 years of teaching at schools across Manchester. When not teaching at Stretford, he can often be found reading or writing in a different corner of the Internet.  He also enjoys cycling, walking and eating out.

ICT Team

Mr Grey

Mr C Grey worked in the IT Department of a major bank for 25 years, in various roles including computer operator, computer analyst, team leader, training manager, team manager and supplier manager before leaving to join the education sector.  He taught computing in college to HNC level, and originally started work at Stretford High as an ICT Learning Mentor while training as an FE Teacher.

Mr Grey’s qualifications include a Certificate in Mentoring, an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, a level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care for Children and Young People, a Certificate in Further Education Teaching, and he is currently taking a BA(Hons) in Education.

He likes to spend time with his family and travel as much as I can. His hobbies include DIY, climbing and shooting, and skiing at Chill Factore. Mr Grey’s main interest though is sailing, and he is a qualified Yachtmaster and he sails with the Ocean Youth Trust as a volunteer watch leader.

Mr D Pugh

joined Stretford High School in April 2010 and took up a teaching role in September 2010 as Teacher of ICT and Business.  Mr Pugh went to University in Liverpool where he completed a BA Business Economics and continued his studies by completing an MA in Business Finance and Management.

Prior to becoming a teacher, Mr Pugh travelled the world; visiting countries in South East Asia, Australasia, South America and Central America.  When he returned he decided to pursue a career where he could help people and joined Lancashire Constabulary as a Police Officer.  Frustrated that regular dealings with the same people, did not offer opportunities to change their prospects and future, Mr Pugh decided to return to University and become a teacher, to provide students the opportunities to follow their career dreams.  Since qualifying he has taught in Spain, and around the Manchester area.  He is committed to offer the best possible teaching that he is able to provide and is proud to be a member of Stretford High School.

In his spare time Mr Pugh enjoys playing rugby for Sale FC.  Being half Welsh and half New Zealander, rugby has been an addiction for 25 years, although the years seem to be catching up with him.   You may see him around the school with cuts, bruises, and the occasional broken nose.  During the off-season, Mr Pugh can be found around the country, camping and walking.  During the Summer Holidays Mr Pugh likes to visit far away countries around the world with his wife.  2011 destination:  India.

Mr C Everritt

Miss Bayliss studied International Architecture at University which sparked her enthusiasm for Technology and Design; although she really enjoyed the course, after a summer working with young people she felt that teaching was what she wanted to spend her life doing. She worked as a Teaching Assistant and completed a PGCE in Technology to Secondary pupils, and now finds herself teaching her most loved subjects to the world’s youngest creators.
