Home Learning

Posted: June 20, 2011

Dear Student,

At Stretford High School, we value quality home learning and believe that it is an important part of your learning life. We want to ensure that home learning is of high quality, reinforcing knowledge and developing skills. Indeed independent learning skills build life-long learning and prepare you for life when you leave Stretford.

We have developed an innovative set of home learning projects for Years 7, 8 and 9 to complete over the course of 2011/2012 – They are NOT optional!

The timetable of projects can be seen below – if you click on each link the project is outlined and resources and research links are available. However the department leading a specific project will be able to give you more detail. Homelearning club which takes place in the library will also support you.

At the end of each half term, homelearning will be submitted, assessed and celebrated in the achievement assemblies.

You will still receive traditional homelearning from the range of subjects that you study, in addition to these projects.

If you are in Years 10 & 11, you should expect to receive regular homelearning, supporting your study of exam courses.
