Mr J Haseldine

Headteacher

I am privileged to be the Headteacher of Stretford High School. I am very proud to lead a school where pupils demonstrate their commitment to learning through their smart appearance, good manners, exceptional behaviour and hardwork.

My job is to make Stretford High a great school. To help us to achieve this goal we have dedicated and highly talented professionals, who are committed to high expectations for our learners. We have a team of fabulous student leaders, who are bidding to become the leaders of their generation. Additionally, the School Governing Body is made up of leading local figures and parents who are working hard to ensure the highest quality education for our community.

You may have heard that we have a reputation as a wonderfully diverse school; that holds the values of respect, creativity, independence and drive at its heart. We believe a commitment to such values results in success.

The school aims to achieve the best for each young person and we expect members of our community to come to school to learn and achieve beyond what they thought was possible. At Stretford High School we will not tolerate anything less.

Stretford High is an International School, a Specialist Language College, holds Consultant School Status and works in partnership with Lancashire County Cricket Club and Manchester United Foundation. As a language college and international school we are committed to ensuring that our pupils are prepared for a changing world.

The school is situated in between Old Trafford Football and Cricket Grounds at the gateway to the city centre, adjacent to a College of Further Education. It is located close to the city metro link and is just a stroll from the prestigious Media City development. Stretford High is non-selective and provides for children between the ages of 11 and 16 years. The school offers a wide range of personalised courses and enrichment activities through a highly structured, inclusive, innovative approach to learning, leading to qualifications at all levels. It is our vocation to recognise and realise the talent and potential of all our learners, in a safe learning environment with high expectations.

Young people have a wonderful opportunity to learn how to shine and then achieve at Stretford High School. We are passionate about potential and are considered to be a very caring school; where relationships are very strong between young people and teachers.

Our website gives you a greater insight into our school, a school where people matter. If you are interested in a school that is small enough to be recognised in, but big enough for children to flourish, please don’t hesitate to contact me at admin@stretfordhigh.com or on 0161 876 1850.

Kind Regards

Mr. J Haseldine. MEd. BEd. Hons. NPQH
