The Blue Plaque event starts at 10.30am Friday 8th July when Sir Bobby Charlton, Dickie Bird MBE, Kate Green MP and Brian Hughes MBE will meet with our students in the main hall at Stretford High School.

We will be joined by students from our local primary schools at this point. At 10.45am all the children will leave the school in order to take their place outside 22 Great Stone Road. They will be joined by the guests at 11am where Dickie Bird will speak for about 10 minutes about the life of Tommy Taylor before unveiling the first plaque. We will then walk around the corner to 19 Gorse Avenue where Sir Bobby Charlton will talk for 10 minutes about Duncan Edwards before unveiling his plaque. The party will then return for dinner at the school. The event will end at 1pm.

We would be delighted to see any of our extended community joining with us for this special event. Please feel free to join us at either house on Friday morning.
